Our mission
At ByTheLaw, we believe that legal knowledge is the most valuable resource for any legal professional, whether in a firm or in individual practice. Our mission is to give it form: to make it usable, structured and accessible whenever needed. We want to give professionals back the time that is currently lost on administrative and repetitive tasks, so they can focus on what they truly value doing.
Our story
ByTheLaw was born as an idea at a hackathon, where it received validation from lawyers and investors, and evolved into a Spin-Off from the University of Coimbra, now recognized as an innovative company in the legaltech sector.
Just weeks after founding, we were already implementing a pilot at one of the largest law firms in the country, proving the applicability and impact of our solution early on.
